Netbook

Netbooks are gaining popularity among us and many think of it as mini Laptop but there are few things to consider that you need to know before buying a Netbook-

1) It has Intel Atom processor, which is too slow to work upon heavy applications simultaneously like office, java applications etc. You are helpless here because you cannot make alteration to it.

2) It has very small screen size less than 11". It means while doing Internet Browsing you need to scroll down all the time as you can not see full page in just a single watch. To watch your favourite movie and video over netbook, you need to have good monitor attached with it using cable.

3) Keyboard size is small and there is no space between keys. Actually, keys are tightly bundled and some standard keys may be missing to save space. Hence, you have to practice and more to type words correctly in first shot as there can be lot of errors while typing in the starting. You can buy a standard keyboard and mouse with blue-tooth connectivity.

4) Hard disk is too small generally less than 80GB. Hence, you cannot place your favourite movies ,games, video songs over it. You can only place your audio files, important applications, some videos and business files over it. You can buy external Hard disk for storage purposes.

5) It is very light. Now, how is it to consider? Actually, Light means more movability. You can carry it every where you go, so you need to have light hands over it. Having tough hands over it may cause damage to it internally (vibrations causes problems to hard disks) and externally. So, while buying a Netbook you have to consider its material also. 6) It does not have CD drive. So, you need to buy a external DVD/CD drive. It will definitely be slow than internal CD/DVD drive as it has to be connected with USB ports rather then internal BUS cables like for a laptop. I have heard of DVD writers over some netbook models recently. So, things are getting changed for netbooks. In few years such things might get sorted out.

Till now, Netbooks are great at surfing and doing business from anywhere. But, Netbooks are coming with such a price that a person can also buy a good smartphone which can also do all such things, if external things are not attached. Also, phones are more suitable when comes to real business as there is a direct communication with clients using mobile networks and battery life is at least 4-5 times more then a Netbook.
